Meet Yamae, a Systems Integrator at Sherpa 6. Her running journey began in high school, through the Marines, and continues today. She ran many marathons, including an Ultra Marathon 50k in November 2020. Running has taught her that if she is disciplined and consistent, she can do things she never thought possible. Last year she ran her 8th marathon in support of Team Blue! They run to remember! Run for the fallen, for the fighting, for the families, and for those who cannot run themselves. Meet Sarah, a UX/UI Engineer at Sherpa 6! She is passionate about staying active and loves finding new ways to challenge herself. Having been involved in martial arts for over half her life, beginning with training in karate as a kid, she now focuses her training in Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu. Her most recent accomplishment is earning her purple belt in Jiu Jitsu. The most important aspect to training though, is learning how to push yourself and break through your own mental and physical barriers.

Meet Ashlea, a Systems Integrator here at Sherpa 6 who also enjoys rock climbing. She has always had an interest in rock climbing since a young age, however, it wasn’t until she was stationed in Hawaii while in the military that she really got into it. Sundays are for climbing and she and her friends love to climb a mountainside known as Mokuleia. After climbing they head to the beach to relax. Ashlea loves the feeling of accomplishment that climbing brings to her.

The need to communicate quicker is gradually transforming how soldiers operate and how the military is assembled. According to the Commanding General of the U.S. Army’s I Corps. "The Army is going to start changing the way their organizations are built to take advantage of what they can do," Lt. Gen. Xavier Brunson told reporters on October 10th on the sidelines of the Association of the U.S. Army annual conference. He states that, “What is also really interesting about our Army as we go forward in this data-centric environment is people are going to do different things. In 2020, Scott returned home from a longer than expected rotation overseas. He and his family were itching to take a vacation but due to the pandemic, their travel plans were canceled. From being tested in minus 30 degree Fahrenheit, the Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) is now being tested in 90 degrees. During this past holiday season, Sherpa 6 was able to support an Afghanistan refugee family during Thanksgiving as well as a second family local to Denver during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
