The difficult task of being asked to share a bit of my life so that others can get to know me better has arrived! You might think that as a retired Army Apache helicopter pilot I would have no problem talking about myself. It seems to be a trait common to most Apache Pilots. Leave them in a room full of people and you will quickly identify who the Apache Pilots are…They will tell you!
At a much younger age than I currently find myself, my father introduced me to the Serenity prayer: Accept the things I cannot change, have the courage to change the things I can, and have the wisdom to know the difference. This “Golden Retriever” way of looking at the world has served me well throughout my life and has enabled me to find happiness in both my career and at home with family.
Flying and boating are two things that immediately put me in my happy place. It doesn’t seem to matter which direction I’m going… just that I am going.
