When I got scholarship money for college, I penny pinched my living conditions, diet, and avoided paying for textbooks so I could use the money saved to build a sweet sweet gaming rig for myself.

I live with Thomas and Daphne. I feel like I am always cleaning up their messes and rescuing them from trouble (and each other). But they catch the occasional cricket that gets in so I guess it’s an even trade.

I read a lot, more than a book per typical day, and I love to go whale watching.
I’ve hiked many of the 14ers in Colorado.
I broke a toe playing full-contact football, barefoot, in the rain, on an Air Force Base, during a joint exercise. Yup. I was also 11th chair trumpet at band camp (out of 14).
Although I’ve spent years in the field in the Army, I still enjoy camping.
I worked for the government (YCC) one summer during high school. One of our tasks was hunting rattlesnakes. We were given common shovels.
One fun fact about me is that I love learning languages. Currently, I am improving upon my conversational Spanish and trying to learn Italian.
I enjoy all things Crossfit, hiking, skiing, kayaking, camping, fishing, and golfing.
I am an avid Christmas light decorator.

Huge bird lover! Has a pet pigeon (her name is Starbuck and she wears pants) and worked at a wildlife clinic for a summer. Knows way more pigeon facts than you ever needed to know.

My name is commonly misspelled and mispronounced. In over 25 years in the military I rarely had any certificate or document spelled correctly. For the most part anything like flight schedules or posted notices just had Grrr printed on them and everyone just called me Grrr as well.
At the age of 19 I was stationed in Germany and was determined to start traveling Europe immediately. Upon my arrival to Frankfurt, I signed in and on day one I got as far as the train station and turned back home due to my inability to speak a different language.
