SOCOM FSR Support

Tactical C4 Systems

Sherpa 6 personnel provide embedded C4 Field Service Representatives (FSRs) at Special Operations Forces (SOF) units, focused on integrating and training Tactical C4 systems, including the SOF Deployable Node (SDN) and the Tactical Local Area Network (TACLAN). Our focus is proficiency training, through various proven methods, to train SOF Communicators on these SOF-Specific communications systems fielded by PEO-C4. Our SOCOM team is set to train approximately 1,500 SOF Service Members on 500 SOF-specific C4 systems in our first year of support.

IVAS Training

Solving Complex Problems

Sherpa 6 Trainers have been directly involved in the development and incorporation of the Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) since its inception. The IVAS capability set includes squad and leader radios, Tactical Cloud Package (TCP) network equipment, and cloud-based services including Adaptive Squad Architecture (ASA) and Squad Performance Metrics (SPM). Within the IVAS Program, our trainers are responsible for the development and implementation of the Program of Instruction (POI) for the Tactical Cloud Package(TCP). The TCP is a ruggedized package consisting of industry leading networking, computing, and routing/switching components designed to operate at the edge in austere environments. The TCP provides operational units with the ability to seamlessly employ the future of transportable C5ISR systems. The TCP hosts a central compute server used for cloud management of mission planning, map data, friendly force tracking and IVAS provisioning capability via the Watchtower application.

Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM)

Complete Control at the Tactical Edge

Developed by Sherpa 6, Watchtower is a powerful tactical Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solution used to provision and manage Android, Android Enterprise, and Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) devices. Watchtower was designed to support numerous mission Concepts of Operation (CONOPS) and end-user capability sets in unclassified, tactical collateral secret, and secret enclaves. Watchtower provides a complete and secure Life Cycle Management (LCM) capability in constrained environments at-the-edge. Watchtower provides a single ecosystem for device configuration management (CM), provisioning, governance, security, app management, and analytics. Unlike traditional commercial off-the-shelf MDM solutions, Watchtower provides mechanisms to automatically configure components at an enterprise level that typically require manual touchpoints in a tactical environment, including apps such as ATAK and ATAK plugins. A significant benefit to our customers is that it can be customized to fit specific military applications.

TRAKR

Solutions Powered by 5G

Sherpa 6 developed the Tactical Readiness Asset Key-Terrain Reconstitution (TRAKR) plugin for the TAK ecosystem (TAKX and ATAK) to demonstrate 5G cellular capabilities in tactical environments. TRAKR allows the Warfighter to maintain situational awareness (SA) through one common operational picture (COP), either TAKX or ATAK depending on the echelon, to enable units to identify, track, and collect assets (equipment or personnel) in real-time using GPS beacons which could be applied to A-TTL applications. These features include categorizing and organizing information for reporting digital data with exporting capabilities. TRAKR is currently being tested by the 82nd ABN DIV (2-325 AIR) during day and night airborne operations and is successfully showcasing the location and movement of identified cargo assets. Sherpa 6 supports the 82nd ABN DIV to locate and manage personnel and cargo assets during outload, INFIL, and directed missions.
